Heidi Chang is an award-winning multimedia journalist, who's produced audio, video, and digital media stories for local, national and global media for many years.  Her work has aired on numerous networks and shows including: NPR, VOA, PBS, ABC, AP, CBC, The World, Living on Earth, Here & Now, Marketplace, Weekend America, KQED's Pacific Time, Latino USA and PRX podcasts.

Two of Heidi's NPR stories have won national awards from the Asian American Journalists Association. Her work has also been featured in the Los Angeles Times, NBC Asian America and other media outlets. Heidi began her journalism career as a TV reporter. Before that, she started out on the airwaves as a radio personality, hosting popular music shows on commercial stations in Honolulu and San Francisco.

Over the years, Heidi has been honored to receive fellowships from AAJA, NPR, AIR, CPB, Maynard Institute, Knight Digital Media Center at UC Berkeley and the East-West Center.
