Young Earthling Caroline M. Cao, though Florida-born, considers herself a full-Houstonian, Texan spiritually. During her years at the University of Houston as a Creative Writing and Filmmaking major, she was a satirist of The Cougar Opinion Column, writing feature articles with such headlines like “Students Says “Meh” to Zombie Apocalypse.” She recently celebrated the publication of her poem “Kaguya at Leisure” published in Mosaic: Volume One. She is a current TV/Movie reviewer for OutLoudCulture and Arched Doorway and champions review-writing as both a scholarly and artistic pursuit. In the meantime, she’s composing poems and sci-fic space opera stories and screenplays involving afterlife simulations, humans implanted with mechanical second brains, and a civilization maturing out of the dystopian spectrum.
