Abe Selby is a freelance video journalist and social anthropologist. He currently assists in the production of micro-documentaries at Great Big Story, where he helps tell uplifting stories about underdogs from around the world.

He has produced and shot both digital stories and a social media series for PBS MetroFocus in New York. Abe has also photographed multiple sessions of the United Nations General Assembly, written freelance, and partnered with oral history projects like StoryCorps to produce audio stories about the lives of global LGBTQ activists.

Abe also conducts anthropological research for NYU on historical crimes and cultural erasure. His studies have ranged from LGBTQ persecution to the colonisation of indigenous nations. He is also an undergraduate honors recipient, for his ethnographic research on developing slave burial grounds.
